I installed four 0.22/600v Gen 1 Sonicaps as signal coupling caps in my
tube amp and WOW, what a nice capacitor! The presentation is incredibly smooth and natural, with higher resolution than the caps I replaced (a highly regarded film and foil type). Gone are the persistent midrange glare and the sibilant edges on vocals and brass instruments that had plagued my system for some time. The Sonicaps reveal significantly more low-level information and therefore do a much better job of reproducing the dimension and air of the original venue.
