Title: Sonicaps!
Hi Jeff...well, as you recommended, I finally got around to doing this cap change (at least part of it)....can't believe it took me a year! Now I'm not sure I want to do anything else. I installed the 12uf Sonicaps last week and they are really (really) nice. The things I like most about the Sonicap is it's transparency and improved detail retrieval but with almost no harshness as compared to the 11uf Thetas (bypassed with the .1uf RTX). It's hard to imagine that bypassing the Gen I with the .1uf Platinum could improve things. However, I'm saving my pennies and will probably order a pair soon. Anyhow, thanks for Sonicap (and for Sonic Craft). For me, this cap is sort of a missing link that I've been looking for since I bought the "kitchen sink" mod from you years ago. Enjoying my system again....Bob
